How often do you travel to Colorado?
We make scheduled trips toward Colorado based on puppy ready dates, family pickups, and our current delivery schedule.

Are your puppies microchipped before delivery?
Yes. Our puppies are microchipped before going to their new families.
A microchip provides permanent identification if your puppy is ever lost and brought to a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or other location equipped with a scanner. I bring the scanner with too so you can verify when we meet!
What medical care do puppies receive before delivery?
Our puppies receive age-appropriate preventative care before going home. Depending on the puppy's age, this may include vaccinations, deworming, parasite prevention, fecal screening, microchipping, and other appropriate care.
Each puppy also goes home with organized medical information showing what care has already been completed.
Do the puppies have all their shots before delivery?
Young puppies are usually not old enough to have completed their entire vaccination series before going home, but will have at minimum, one session of 5-way vaccinations complete. This is typically done at week 7 so you will follow up with the booster rounds at week 10, 13 and 16.
Puppy vaccines are given as a series over several weeks as maternal antibodies fade and the puppy's own immune system develops protection. Your puppy's medical record will show exactly which vaccines have already been given and what your veterinarian should continue after pickup.
Do you require a deposit?
We do not require a deposit. Families can review current photos, videos, puppy information, pricing, health information, and our customer reviews before choosing a puppy. Contact us with which puppy you'd like and I will simply hold him/her back for you.
Can I see photos and videos before choosing a puppy?
Yes. We provide current photos, videos, birthdates, pricing, expected adult size, and other information for our available puppies.
We are also happy to answer questions about an individual puppy before you make your decision.
Can I visit your kennel before choosing a puppy?
For the health and safety of our puppies, we no longer allow public visits to our home or kennel.
Young puppies are especially vulnerable to contagious illnesses such as parvovirus, which can be carried in on shoes, clothing, and vehicles without anyone realizing it.
We provide current photos, videos, detailed puppy information, and are happy to answer questions before you choose a puppy.
Can I buy a puppy from The Puppy Ark if I live elsewhere in Colorado?
Yes. We regularly work with families throughout Colorado and other states, not just Denver.
So if you live in a state that would require a flight, it isn't a big deal. I will figure it out!
